Maps and directions to Orange Hall at SUNY Orange
The program for this concert will be taken from our Spring 2023 program plus Gwyneth Walker's The Wings of a Dove.
Here is an email from President Zoey Savale on May 21st:
"Hello, singers!
We are rehearsing this Tuesday, May 23, for our concert at SUNY Orange on June 4, at the usual place and time (the Reformed Church at 7:30 pm).
Bring all your music, and if you have a copy of “Wings of a Dove,” please bring that, too. If you don’t have a copy, it is available on our WarwickValleyChorale.org website (on the Members page) to download and print. We will also have some copies that we can lend you.
Our program will be the same, except: (1) For Beethoven, we will sing ONLY the Sanctus. (2) In the middle of the program, between the Brahms and the “Fiddler on the Roof” medley, we'll add “The Wings of a Dove.” We will practice that piece on Tuesday.
The concert itself will begin at 3:00 pm. Your call time is any time between 1:30 and 2:00. Please aim for 1:30 if you are not familiar with the college campus, parking lots, etc. The Richards Theatre is in Orange Hall, located at the corner of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues (GPS: 24 Grandview Avenue), Middletown 10940. Free Parking is in lot #1, which is adjacent to Orange Hall."
Email from Gwyneth Walker on May 23:
"I am so glad that my music continues to be part of the Warwick Valley Chorale repertoire. This has been a gratifying collaboration for me over the years.
Please relay my fond greetings to Zoey and everyone else!
Best wishes -- Gwyneth "

Visits to local nursing homes and retirement centers.
On July 12th and 19th, about a dozen members of the Warwick Valley Chorale visited six area nursing homes and retirement centers. Led by conductor, Dennis English, and accompanied by Gail Johnson, the WVC group performed the following program at each of the facilities:
The Star-Spangled Banner
Give My Regards to Broadway
Nelly Bly
Over the Rainbow
Oh! Susanna
Irving Berlin's America - entire medley, including God Bless America
There were many expressions of appreciation from the residents and staff for the show - being the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic that an outside group had entertained them.

Email from President Zoey Savale, Dec. 13, 2021:
"Hi everyone - What a couple of splendid concerts! I love watching our members all pull together (on stage and off) to make music. There were quite literally so many individual members who did extra work that I don't have room to mention them all here... but please know that each of you was noticed, and deeply appreciated, for all those extra tasks that you did so well, and for your beautiful voices. Amazing!"
Note from Accompanist Gail Johnson, Dec 13, 2021:
"Dear WVC Members,
You were wonderful last night! It's great to be able to SEE you! I always have a front row seat to HEAR you, but have never had the pleasure to watch you until now!
I also want to thank you for the gifts presented to me after the concert; the gorgeous Peace Lily, the stunning wooden serving platter, the festive bottle of wine, the two precious snowflake ornaments (Silent Snowfall!), and the generous gift certificate to Delancey's Restaurant.
I truly miss our Summer Soirees and whole-heartedly hope we can get together this year!
Wishing you all a Joyful Holiday Season!
Love,
Gail"
