The Warwick Valley Chorale congratulates is conductor, Stanley Curtis, on his 25th anniversary with the chorale:

XOXOX"

Congratulations from our President Singing Susy (May 23, 2011):

"What a wonderful night we had! We sang beautifully, had a packed audience, and received not only one but two standing ovations!!! What could be better than that?!? So many people came up to me at the reception saying how much they enjoyed our concert - and that they could see that we really had fun while we were singing! Congratulations to all of you on a fantastic performance - it was one of our best!

Congratulations to our soloists - Julie Ziavras, Zoey Savale, Andrew Signorelli, and Dennis English - for all of their hard work and their wonderful voices! Our accompanist, Gail Johnson, has been awesome with her piano playing - how DO you do that?!?! Thank you, Gail! Our love, thanks, and appreciation to Stanley for conducting us for 25 years! We hope that you've enjoyed conducting us as much as we've enjoyed singing with and learning from you! We look forward to your next 25 years! :-)

Many thanks to Willie Lake and Rocco Vaccarelli for building Stanley's new podium! Great job, guys!

I want to personally thank each of you for all of the time and effort you've put into making this a wonderful singing season for WVC! You are very special to me, and it's truly a joy and a privilege for me to be President of such a wonderful group of people. I'm very proud of all of you - my love and thanks to you for everything you do for WVC.

Congratulations again! See you in September when we start singing again! "

James Cotter's review in the Times Record-Herald:

"Mozart's genius came through with clarity and emotion in this religious masterpiece."

What a wonderful season! You sang magnificently over the weekend! I enjoyed the performances immensely, as did the audience!

I would like to thank you all again for the beautiful floral arrangement and gift that were presented to me on Sunday. Hearing you sing every Tuesday AND being showered with gifts......Wow!

Several choral members asked if we'd be singing at community events again this summer - most surely we will! The residents at the local nursing homes we visit look forward to our performances. I'll make some arrangements within the next few weeks and let you know the dates.

I just got off the phone with John Michel who arranges the Pine Bush Summer Series. He read about our concert and would like us to perform on Friday evening, July 29th. I explained that the Chorale disbands for the summer but some of us get together for less formal gigs. Please let me know if you'd be available to perform in the outdoor bandstand in downtown Pine Bush on July 29th.

In addition, I'm looking forward to our annual Summer Soiree at my house.......date TBA in the near future!

Again, congratulations on a great season!!!

Love,

Gail
