WVC Press Release, Jan 7, 2016. The Warwick Valley Chorale will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, January 12th for its Spring 2016 concert season. Conducted by Stanley Curtis, the chorale will be celebrating the gala 75th Anniversary year with a second world premiere performance. On May 28th, the chorale will perform at New York City’s Carnegie Hall the initial presentation of contemporary composer Ivo Antogini’s oratorio A Prayer for Mother Earth with lyrics drawn from Native American prayers, Saint Francis of Assisi and others. The group will be augmented by choruses from Switzerland, North Carolina and New Jersey. In early June, the chorale turns to Orange County and will present two local concerts that will feature this work and a varied selection of American spirituals.
