Soloists - extra rehearsal:
Tuesday, May 6, at 6:30 pm at Warwick Reformed Church
*******************
These are practice tracks for the SATB solos in Mozart's Requiem: Tuba Mirum, Recordare, and Benedictus.
In Tuba Mirum the Tenor solo begins at measure 18 which is about 53 sec. from the beginning. For the same movement, the Alto solo begins at measure 34 at about 1:40 from the begining. Similarly, the Soprano solo starts at measure 40, about 2:00 from the beginning.
Sopranos also have two short solos: one in the 1st movement Requiem at measure 21, and the other at the beginning of the Lux Aeterna. Click here.
New ==> Note: in Domine Jesu, the section for the solos (measures 32 to 43) will be sung by soloists as marked (this is a change from previous guidence.) See assignments on the table below.
Here are Ron's assignments for the solos (as of May 1.):
You can download and print this table, "WVC Soloists Spring25 updated.pdf", from the "tracks" box below.

Cyberbass has excellent practice aids for the Mozart Requiem. Choralia lists just the Benedictus but not Tuba Mirum or Recordare. Give them a try.
